Timothy hayes

Timothy Hayes is founder and Managing Member of Powerhouse, LLC. Under his leadership Powerhouse and its subsidiaries develop, design, integrate and operate world-class solar electric generating systems in the Americas and Asia Pacific region. To date, Mr. Hayes has participated in development of more than ten megawatts of small commercial-scale PV plants. Customers include utilities, grid operators, businesses, government and other distributors and end-users of electricity.

Mr. Hayes is certified in PV installation and technical sales by NABCEP, the North American Board of Certified Energy Practitioners. He developed his first commercial photovoltaic system in 2000 and has since completed power plants ranging from 50 kilowatts to 6 Megawatts. His projects prove successful economically and environmentally, for customers and investors. He is a leader at helping businesses, utilities and institutions improve their bottom line by becoming producers of solar electricity.

Previously, Mr. Hayes co-founded and served as Chief Operating Officer of Vis Solis, Inc., a top 50 US solar company. He served as Executive Director of the Sustainable Technology Park Authority in Cape Charles, Virginia, where he developed a 200-acre eco-industrial showcase for international companies leading innovation in renewable energy technologies and industrial symbiosis.
